The constant noise level in the open space office can quickly limit to concentration at work. Human speech is particularly important here because somehow we always listen when our colleague is talking on the phone or to another colleague. Sound absorbers can help to a certain extent here, but they often reach their limits with such complex noises as speech.

Modern office furniture efficiently blocks sound or even absorbs it. In addition, electronic devices such as printers or computers are emitting less noise. What seems very positive at first, does not necessarily benefit concentration: the lower the noise level, the more audible speech becomes.

Sound masking

Presound, our patented sound masking system, is specifically designed to improve acoustics in offices. Integrated into the office wall, it creates a so-called noise carpet, a mixture of natural frequencies that runs constantly in the background. This noise carpet is deliberately inaudible, but efficiently covers speech sounds and has an extremely positive effect on the acoustics in the room. Thanks to sound masking, the conversation that previously distracted us from our work becomes an incomprehensible but not unpleasant hum. What initially seems a paradox, has a pleasant effect on the human ear and improves concentration demonstrably.

The red markings of human language are weakened and spread less.
