Our latest collection of acoustic cork adapts perfectly to the spatial conditions and inspires with its modern design.
In collaboration with product designer Bodo Sperlein, a collection of sustainable acoustic elements has been created, which create a harmonious, warm atmosphere in the object area and in private living spaces and at the same time are an absolute eye-catcher in every room.
The freestanding modular system is a true combination wonder. The prefabricated cork modules in the shape of a lying eight are simply plugged together and can thus take on a variety of different shapes and styles. So Bric can be an acoustic room divider or a small niche for confidential conversations. There are no limits to the imagination.
Inspired by nature, the drop-shaped form of the cork elements can be attached to the wall as well as to the ceiling. Hanging from the ceiling, they look like a floating art installation; on the wall, they are an absolute eye-catcher. Drop therefore not only optimises the acoustics, but also the look of a room.
Natural material and organic shapes combine to create a modern collection of acoustic elements that can be used in different areas of the room and even create spaces such as small retreat niches for undisturbed phone calls.
Bodo Sperlein was inspired by the unique natural material cork. Cork is one of the few natural materials that is completely recyclable. It is extracted without damaging the tree. In combination with its recyclability, cork is an excellent example of circular economy.
Actually, the German-born designer and creative director Bodo Sperlein, who has won numerous design awards, creates products for the room, which he designs in collaboration with and on behalf of renowned companies. He has enthusiastically accepted the challenge of venturing into new territory and designing a collection for the acoustic manufacturer PREFORM – not least because with these products he has succeeded in creating spaces himself for the first time.
Bodo Sperlein has lived in London since the 1990s, where he first studied at Camberwell College of Arts and then founded his own design studio. His preference for traditional and sustainable materials, combined with his love of craftsmanship, combined with his unique style and modern production techniques, result in outstanding products that stand out.
